About the Bernard and Daphne Cornish Scholarships

The University of Queensland, a public research university located in Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia (UQ, or Queensland University). UQ was founded in 1909 by the Queensland government and is one of the six sandstone institutions of higher learning, making it the oldest university in each state.

The University of Queensland was ranked second nationally and tied for second in Australia in the most current research assessment carried out by the Australian Research Council using the average of four significant international university league tables.

The Association of Pacific Rim Universities and edX, two organizations with a strong emphasis on international research, are both founded by the University of Queensland, one of Australia’s leading Group of Eight universities.

The Education Fund Scholarship is provided by the University of Queensland. The recipients of this scholarship must be citizens of the United States and plan to enroll in a university to get a bachelor’s degree.
The scholarship will offer financial support to two students each year and will be given out based on academic achievement and extracurricular activities.

Don’t already hold a university qualification

Don‡t hold another scholarship that the Associate Dean deems to be similar
